As an expression of the principles of proper conduct in the pursuit of our craft, our members, our After years of careful planning, the National Guild of Professional Paperhangers has established a national certification program for ALL members of the wallcovering installation industry. The program is designed to help consumers, retailers, and manufacturers determine the qualification of contractors and to permit members of the profession to demonstrate their capabilities.
 Candidates for certification must be active full-time wallcovering installers who have been employed as such for a minimum of 2 years. Candidates must possess thorough knowledge of all materials and techniques in common use in the wallcovering installation trade. Candidates, however, need not be a member of the National Guild of Professional Paperhangers.
Achievement of Certified Paperhanger status tells your industry peers and your clients that you are qualified by education and experience to work as a professional wallcovering installer and that you have satisfactorily demonstrated your knowledge and skill through a rigorous procedure that permits only true professionals to earn the designation of Certified Paperhanger.
