Customer has older vinyl coated wallpaper that was water damaged on the walls. This is an older home, walls are total of 18" thick-combo of brick exterior and porous/sand plaster type walls. The brick has been repaired and the customer wants to re-install the wallpaper (partially intact now mostly at ceiling). The paper has of course rolled up on the seams. It is a very large room and only the one wall is damaged.
Number of questions:
1) Have I completely lost my mind for even attempting this project?
2) When I remove the damaged paper; if I soak it, will it relax the paper enought to illuminate the rolling and allow reinstallation without changin the size of the paper (length & width)?
3) What sealant/primer would you recommend for the wall?
4) Should I install a bridging material for better contact?
Always did like a good challenge......appreciate your suggestions...
