Can grass cloth be hung around an outside corner, ( I am using a narrow softer sewn weave), and is there a matte sealer than can be applied over the installed grasscloth to provide some protection to the surface?

Yes and no. Yes, you can easily wrap corners. Run some adhesive floor to ceiling on both sides of the corner. Do it before you even begin to hang so that it has time to dry. When you apply the sheet to it, teh dried paste on the wall will act like Velcro to help grab the paper and stick it tight. If it's a natural ggrass (untinted), you can use a damp sponge to soften the grass as you wrap the corner. This will help it to congorm easier.

No, there is nothing heavy enough to protect grassloth that won't also gossly alter its appearance.
