Can anyone give me any tips on hanging grasscloth? I am a painter with not much paperhanging experience. The walls to be done are currently primed with oil primer. Any tips on tecnique/product would be helpful, as well as any books/literature on the subject. Is grasscloth difficult to hang? I'm wondering if I'm in over my head.
Also, what is the going rate for hanging grasscloth?
Thanks
Mike

Yes ,you are probaly over your head. Do yourself and your customer a favor, hire a professional. If you are being paid for this job ,then the client should get a professional job. Hire a paperhanger with experience in installing grassclothes ,have the paperhanger give YOU the quote and add on the customary fee for being a contractor /overseer.
Although they are not especially difficult there is more to it than conventional wallcovering. There are certain techniques and rules that only a professional who has been properly trained will know and more importantly adhere to. If you do not have a regular paperhanger that you hire, please go to our front page and select Find a Paperhanger.
Good Luck!
