Vintage Wallpaper for Sale

I have what I feel is a unique opportunity to offer. My sister, Catherine Lee, and I have collected antiques for many years. A long time ago, we acquired an entire lot of distinctive wall coverings, both American and European, which are now 50 to 100 years old. These valuable pieces of history range in pattern and color. In fact, we have over 1,700 rolls in over 400 different patterns.

We have held onto these wall coverings for a very long time, but now feel they would be best served by someone with the resources and expertise to do something extraordinary with them.

I wish to offer the chance at purchasing our collection; however, I am not sure how to go about presenting it. Of course, it would be best evaluated in person to make a clear decision as to whether it is of interest to you.

If you can get digital pictures of the papers, you could post the pictures here: scroll down after hitting reply and see "Manage Attachments."
With those pictures, you could also sell them on eBay.

The age of the papers may present problems, as wood pulp paper acidifies and crumbles with time. You should have the papers looked at by a pro hanger to determine if these are still workable papers.

There is a company called Second Hand Rose in NY that sells vintage papers, and I'm sure there are others. Someone like that may take the whole collection from you.
