GENERAL RULES:

1. At the top of the page is a SEARCH feature. This is a convenience feature for you to use to see if your subject has already been discussed. If a subject has been recently discussed you may find it difficult to initiate another discussion without acknowledging the previous one.

2. Consider an appropriate forum in which to post your question -- please look at the forum descriptions on the main forum page first. This keeps subjects organized and facilitates future searches.

3. Having a descriptive thread topic AND describing your problem specifically will help people who are willing to answer you.

4. Although perfect grammar and spelling are nice touches, we are not the grammar police. It is more important to be clear of meaning than perfect of spelling. Please re-read your post before hitting the "Submit" button. The "Preview Post" feature is very helpful to see how your post will look.

5. No foul language, insults, personal attacks or otherwise rude messages.

6. Post your question only once. No cross-posting to different forums. Your question will draw more pertinent attention when posted once.

7. After you have received answers we would love feedback on how helpful any suggestion was. We are always learning and you may have been inspired to find a new approach to a unique situation.

8. Don't reply to a thread with an off-topic comment/question . Instead, start a new thread.

9. All capital letters indicates SHOUTING. It is considered bad "netiquette" to write in all caps. Use them for effect only.

10. It is unwise to post your email address on the forums. Spambots roam the internet harvesting e-mail addresses. You will soon discover the wonders of enlarged body parts or how you can be a conduit for Nigerian gold.

11. If you see a post that violates any rule, please report it to our moderators using the "Report Bad Post" link in the upper right corner of the post window

We have a team who will deal with abuse and misconduct. It is not your place to admonish an offender, if you do, we will deem you just as guilty.

ADVERTISING & SCAMS:

1. Individuals who have a wallpaper related item for sale are encouraged to post a note in the FOR SALE section. Once interest is shown, use the Private Message feature to trade contact information. This is not a venue for profit. This is not an auction house. This is not a warehouse outlet. The administrative team will be aware of multiple and constant "offerings".

2. NGPP associate members are encouraged to post reasonable notice of new products or services - this is a benefit of membership. Any industry related company interested in becoming an associate member should contact our National Office 800.254.NGPP (6477)

3. Any official industry representative may post responses to direct and specific questions about their products. No company may "plant" a question about a product nor enter a continuing debate about the merits of their product. This will cause action by the administrative team.

4. Advertising via forum messages is strictly prohibited. If you need to advertise your products on our site, contact our
National Office 800.254.NGPP (6477)
and we will negotiate an advertising contract with you/your company.

5. Linking to pyramid schemes and other forms of "free place-your-product-here schemes" is strictly prohibited

6. When appropriately posting a notice or a response, a company may include, within reason, a link to a related website or FAQ page. This is not carte blanche permission to fill our forum with advertising links. Judgement and removal will be at the discretion of the administrative team.

SIGNATURES:

1) keep them simple
2) keep them tasteful
3) keep them appropriate for family viewing
4) Don't make the admins and mods take action

ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS:

Messages that break any of the rules above can be removed or
edited by the moderators and administrators of these forums. Even if
something isn't specifically mentioned in the rules, it doesn't mean
that it would be permitted. It is up to the moderators and
administrators to determine what is appropriate and what is not.
The administrators also reserve the right to change inaccurate,
incomplete, or inappropriate information in a user's profile. We have
the power to do so.

Violation of our guidelines will subject the violator to
banning from our Bulletin Board. This will be at the discretion of the
administrators, moderators, and the website committee. Reconsideration
will be granted upon request.
