Here is an answer I got elsewhere

I have heard that no seam rollers should be used with embossed papers. If anything, the harshest thing you would want to use is a bristle type sweep. Maybe you can also try just your fingernail. Best seam locker ever invented, plus is a good nail buffer.

*Edit* I did some searching on the APN archive and the few posts I read all said NO to seam rollers for these types of papers.

:D

Mini tram lines huh? Let me guess, are you from the U.K.? :D

Forget any type of seam roller. The more you work the seams on embossed materials the more problems you will have. A soft brush sweep or finger tip works fairly well. Good luck.

glue the embossed paper to the seam roller that works well and is safer

While I cannot argue with the advice given so far, and agree with it... there was a time when padded seam rollers were available. They were often used for foils. That was 30+ yrs ago. A quick web search brought up nothing. If you must roll the seams I would use as little pressure as possible and opt for
Rubber/nylon: edge of roller at edge of the paper...roller should not straddle the seam. Slightly more pressure at the edge ofthe paper. Should leave no marks.

If you have time or for future use to make a padded roller: a nylon roller, straight or barrel and a layer or two of either a soft cotton such as flannel or knit or sometimes foam packing material is available, about 1/16 to 1/8 in thick, arrgh, 2-4 mm for you. Use a decent adhesive.

Good luck.
