Anyone use perma-white ext. as a primer for wallcovering? interior perma-white works great. I have 1/2 gal ext. that I'd like to use.

i know Zinnser don't like the idea, but I think it would work.d:( d:(

Well, ordinarily, a pro won't ask a product to do what it is not made for. We like to guarantee our results, and if you use a product that way, I can't think of a reason that justifies trying to save $10 for the risk. Secondly, an exterior product has ingredients, especially biocides, that are specifically banned from interior use. In other words, you could make someone ill. For $10.

I will second what Chris states here...... what is the value of the wallcovering? What is the value of your time? We can have problems with wallcoverings installed over properly prepared walls, why take a chance on using this product? Is Jack Ford (Zinsser) out there to respond to this???? He'd give ya an earful!!!
