Is there anything I need to know about this type of paste when applying it.This is my first time using it.

I'm not sure what you are hanging with it. It will stain more readily that clears, has more tack generally, and wont flow in a pasting machine all that great unless it's a Pastewell. It has a shorter open time also. Having said all this, I use a lot of clay, as it will help almost any stubborn paper adhere. Give us more info and we can help you further.

Clay is a typically a thick paste. It requires whipping to get it to flow better. You could use a drill with a mixer on it or a large whisk, I prefer the drill.
This will allow you to spread the adhesive more evenly and give you a better
application. As Jeff noted in the previous post , it is a good adhesive , especially for papers or wallcoverings that are in need of extra "tack" or low moisture.

I HAVE ENJOYED USING THE STRIPABLE CLAY-IT HAS NOT BROKEN THE WALL DOWN-I HAD DEFECTIVE 54" AND I WAS ABLE TO REMOVE IT EASILY- AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS. I LIKE THE ABILITY TO SEE THE CLAY PASTE-AS THE CLEAR DOES NOT ALWAYS SHOW. I USE AN 18" ROLLER AND A BIG HOLDER FOR THE PASTE(TALL AND GREEN W/LID),AND I CAN DRY HANG VERY FAST AND EASILY.
