The Pastewell is a unique machine, since you can use full strength clay adhesive in it. You can't do that with other machines, although I've heard the Vinotron with the motor will handle it. Those are over 3K each, so the Pastewell is a cheap alternative. I hope you don't miss it some day!

...I've heard the Vinotron with the motor will handle it. Those are over 3K each, so the Pastewell is a cheap alternative. I hope you don't miss it some day!The simplicity of a Pastewell with its no moving parts is a thing of beauty. My partner who used to travel doing hotels had witnessed Vinitrons sitting idle do to part's failure. I had issues with my Beta 5 Pastemate when a roller pin failed and I needed to bring it into a machine shop to have a new one pressed in...
The only downsides to a Pastewell are overcoming the friction when pulling the sheets...and, if someone doesn't mark a split bolt! Yeah, you know what I'm talking about if you've used one... :furious:

Yep, I just can't see getting rid of mine, even if I morphed into a commercial installer and bought a much nicer unit. The benefit of the Pastewell, on those RARE occasions, simply makes it indispensable enough to keep around.

Simplicity at its best! They fire up everytime...A machine down with a deadline looming...no esta bueno! Ever run into an unmarked or missed split bolt?? :furious:
