Maya Romanoff sells a product called "Moulin Rouge".It is a creased synthetic silk that resembles real silk so much ,it will fool the best,my guess in the $60-$80 per yard range, very sophisticated.Check www.mayaromanoff.com.

designer told me $200 yd. on the moulin rouge. i'm not sure if that was her price or after her mark up. one of the nicest looking materials i've ever put up.

Hey Bob,
We met 7or 8 years ago at SW store Atl chapter meeting.I agree with you on the"Moulin Rouge" ,as classy as they get.I dry hang it, as per the old Maya instructions, after slightly dampening the paper backing and I do mean slightly. The first time I hung it (a charcoal color) dampened the back with too wet a sponge, came straight through discolored fabric exactly like real silk. .Scared me . It dried out but left a halo .Luckily had extra( I know ,should of tested it on a small scrap) eased up on moisture and it hung great. Now they say you can wet hang it and I'm sure you can just very carefully .Maybe your designer meant$ 200 per strip or wanted you to be extra careful by instilling some fear.I hung the "Aqua Fume" color this past week, beautiful stuff.
