Hi Guys,
An architect gave me this pic of this bar and wants a similar looking wallcovering. Its Bisaza tiles in the pic but he wants to use a wallcovering instead.
Has anyone seen or used any wallcovering which would resemble this look?? Client is big and if i can get this done it would ensure regular future work so please help. Thanks.

Hey Muffy
I have not seen type of wallcovering. 'm sure Jon Shermin in New Orleans can make it for you. We toured his plant this weekend. He makes custom wallcovering. It was awesome. He has some pretty big clients and is right on top of things.

The company name is Flavor Paper.

With great consideration and regret, the message posted by Jessica has been deleted. The NGPP Bulletin Board has a policy about NO ADVERTISING.

The Web Site Committee reviewed Jessica's post and determined it was an advertisement
As one can imagine, it is not fair to our paying sponsors and our associate members to provide competitive entities a venue to promote their products free of charge.
We have sent Jessica an invitation to consider joining the NGPP as an associate member as we think her company would be a worthy partner with the National Guild of Professional Paperhangers.
For all professional paperhangers and industry partners interested in joining this non-profit organization, please send an email to ngpp@ngpp.org or call our National Office at 800-254-6477

Lillian,
Another benefit of being an associate member is the ability to advertise in The INSTALLER (NGPP National Newsletter). Unless the guidelines have changed with the present Communications Committee, when I was chair, we did not accept advertising from non-members. You know; another member benefit.
Without sounding too much like a shill ;) for this organization of nationally recognised wallcovering professionals, as you know, membership provides many opportunities for exposure and promotion that benefit manufacturers, vendors, installers, and end users. Wouldn't it be great for all to be able to include this company at one of our trade shows? Think of the visibility and interest they would receive !!!

I see two different contemporary looks, one being a mosaic and the other a vertical lineal look. You will probably have the most success with the lineal look by looking at commercial vinyl.Wolf Gordon has some great contemporary verticals( online catalog page 2) and I rececently hung this mosaic for Turner Broadcasting as a backdrop for "Dinner and a Movie " set but I can't remember the manufacturer

Dear Adam,
You got it exact on target, my friend. Online catalogue, page 2. Saved the pick and showed it to the architect. He liked it. We should hopefully close on that.
But one thing i noticed while going through the spec details was it said Min Qty- 300. And four weeks delivery. Dont they sell per yard/ mtr and dont they have ready stock?
Anyways I will be mailing the company to get further details. Thanks a lot.
Regards,
Muffy :)

You guys are pretty strict. You remind me of my school teachers.. Muffy

Muffy,
Strict? ? ? Well let's say we initiated a policy and need to stick by it equally for all players. But don't worry, we are reviewing it so that in the future the industry can benefit from the knowledge of new products and not make our paying sponsors feel someone else is getting exposure for free.
We realize we are walking a mighty thin tight rope.
And ya know what I love about "policy", it can change as the wind does.
You can congratulate yourself for starting a thread that has caused us to rethink and fine tune.

I think the minimum order is 30 and not 300 yards. That HAS to be a mis-print.

Yes,I think that has to be a misprint. A 30 yard minimum is pretty common.Hope it works out for you.If it is the product I think it is it is heavily embossed which although only a 21oz. vinyl makes it hang more like a 30 oz. material making the horizontal trimming at the ceiling and base a little more time consuming.

Muffy,
I just noticed that you are from Bombay,India.I was there in 1974,when the Oberi Hilton was the fanciest building there. Based on your photogragh things have changed alot . I am thinking of going back to Srinigar to hike in the Himalayas

Shrinagar is still as beautiful as it can get. It was known as heaven on earth. But thanks to all the terrorist activities happening in that region people visiting that place had reduced considerably... But life is again coming back to normal. Slowly but steadily. Lets hope many of us can visit the place atleast once in our lifetime. You my friend are few of those lucky people who have seen Kashmir (Shrinagar) the way it originally was. You are welcome back anytime..

Muffy.
Thanks for the welcome back. One can only hope that the unrest stabilizes in this region. It would be a tragedy for the world to be denied access to this natural beauty.Good luck with your job and keep us updated with the progress.
