What? You don't want to be hot pink? Actually it's supposed to be fuchsia which is pretty close to hot pink. I was experimenting with different colors for different groups and this is what I came up with. What color would you like to be? How about lime green or crimson?:hide:
Don't blame Bill for this, it was all yours truly.

Gary, fuschia is good! No complaints here... ;) Personally, I think it's hot! :D

Hey Glenn, thanks for thinking it was I, but I am not the only one with the keys to the castle - Gary has the MASTER key.
As I asked in an email to him and Tim - I think someone stole a box of crayons from the kids/grandkids :roflmao: :roflmao:
But seriously, you like the idea of colors for different user groups ?? He's been making some tests for awhile. Feedback is always good; positive AND negative
Meanwhile, Tim is playing around with background and text colors over in the Quiet Little Nut Farm in the Corner

Yeah, I do like the idea! I also like the Hot Pink! Did I say that before? ;)
Oh, and just one other thought... I moderate on the PC Guide, but then you probably know that if you followed the orphanage links. :) The owner designed small icons to follow the number of posts. I don't know that it encourages involvement, but I just thought I'd mention it. Of course, it has nothing to do with one's knowledge...only involvement.

I moderate on the PC Guide,
well thanks for telling me NOW !!! :bash:
Ive just had the DAMNEST time trying to load a XP upgrade on my new Inspiron 531. (After giving it an honest chance for two months, I've joined the "VISTA really DOES suck" club).
To load the upgrade, I had to install W2K first, but W2k would not boot to a SATA drive. It took me about 24 hours figuring out how to make a bootable XP CD from an upgrade disc. (and then finding all the drivers - Micro$haft is not encouraging Dell to provide XP drivers for new machines)
If I had known you had these other talents ........
I guess you'd better not join NGPP, you would be volunteered for so many committees (Communications, Education, Web, etc etc) that you would not have time for ANYthing. :roflmao:
BTW, I see PC Guide is also using vBulletin. Do you just moderate, or do you admin also ?? We need some answers to some tricky "issues" about registrations on this BB. Obviously this is not the venue to discuss.

Sorry, just moderate...
The inner workings of the v/bulletin software are taken care of by the owner of the PC Guide. If you are looking for hacks, etc. to try and avoid bot registrations, Charles may indeed be able to assist.
We've some regulars on the PC Guide that are amazing. If you've computer questions...post them there...
