The NGPP booth at the IWCE was a great success! We made contact with many new sources and reinforced relations with old friends at ASID, IFDA, and IDS. Many designers were looking for installers and we let them know that the NGPP Website was the place to find them. We had several inquiries from New England designers for paperhangers who could install fabric, both upholstered and backed. York showed off their new high-end line and Thibaut and Blue Mountain were there too. I think we helped promote our image of professionalism and the NGPP as the place to find the best paperhangers. See you in Ashville!

Dave, left to right on the wide shot is Mo, Terry, KL, John, Walter, Betty (Walter's wife) and Larry.
The brunette was a faux painter named Lee Ann (I think). She introduced herself and I was wearing Chris' name tag, so I did not correct her and talked dirty to her and told her we were near a hotel. I figured, hey, it's not going to damage Chris' reputation.

I object- strongly- to that statement. I do not "talk dirty"; I use ancient contractor's terms to emphasize points of importance. It's kinda like using classical Latin, as lawyers do, but my terms clarify meaning instead of obscuring, and are immediately recognizable by those who understand any language. Just yesterday, I unleashed a torrent of directives at a Hispanic construction worker, and he obviously knew not to touch my scaffold under any circumstances. Makes the workplace safer, and there is no confusion.

The brunette was Tammi Le Nair (TammiPA), remember the lady who was trying to identify the Stark mural. Tammi is going to do a rest of the story when the project is finished. She made a point to stop by our booth and say hello..... who goes out of their way to say hello to paperhangers?
Bill, my eyes were not closed, the crowd was so large that I was speaking to that I was squinting to see the back of the room.

It's ok Chris, I looked out for you. I took Tammi to My website, Scenichanger.com and showed her all the great Zuber and Gracie's I had installed and she had to admit I was the best paperhanger in the Guild. She did ask who the skinny guy was in all the pictures and I told her he was my regular helper, a vagrant I picked up at the Mission House.

Well! It's about time that we're starting to get recognized. It's just taken for granted that we're the best hangers, and of course, we're the best looking, too (we'll do something about KL's haircut and then we'll be untouchable). And hey- we're all such good dancers that at the hang-around time before our meetings you'd swear we were all graduates of Soul Train.
Speaking of cuttin' a rug, Jack Ford will be at our next meeting.
I took Tammi to My website
Thank the Almighty the was the only place she let you take her.

OK, I can't just let this one go..... Am enjoying the back and forth about the show. I AM the brunette in the picture, but I did NOT let myself be taken to any website, not that I would've minded...:roflmao: .but I will definitely check out your website scenichanger. I really enjoyed putting faces to names and it was fun meeting you guys, you too Mo. Who wouldn't want to meet a group of guys like you? After all the help you gave me, it would be snobby on my part not to.
And yes, when this project is all said and done, I will give the rest of the story....
Tammi
