Bill,

Here's what a potential Favicon icon for the NGPP could look like. These show up in the URL address bar to the left of the http:

They are added to the header info in the html coding of the website and then show up whenever someone access the NGPP website, or adds the NGPP website to their favorites. Instead of just perusing a list of favorites the favicon is a miniature (or can be a miniature) of the actual company logo. Brand name recognition...

Well, the vb software won't let me post a .ico image file. I'd have to email that to you. You would need something like www.irfanview.com to view the .ico images.

On this website is a good explanation of a favicon and where they are displayed.

Thanks, it's at least something for now.

A recycled monogram for a painting partnership I had with a friend in the early eighties - AB Painting (his last name being Bryant)

Glenn,

I just placed the file. A combo of yours and mine.

See what you think.

Let me know what you think

(and anyone else who wants to critique - I can modify)

I say, very nice. At 16X16 pixels there's just not much detail one can achieve. My take on the URL and Favorites favicon centers on an image that reflects familiarity.

When I look at the favicon you've placed my brain extrapolates the image based on my memory of the logo...I know it's the NGPP... I believe that's what you wanted to achieve...I think that's what you have achieved! ;)

Looks good to me!

I like to use Opera for most browsing and forum work. It looks great to see the NGPP icon in my favorites list. It now stands out... :2thumbs:

You got it.

The brain extrapoltaes what it expects to see. and at 16 x 16 there's a lot of mental interpolation to be done.

Ahhhhh, you're the OTHER opera user the planet :roflmao:

Yup, the icon looks nice on my toolbar
