The current issue of the NGPP newsletter, The Installer, is the best put out yet by current editor, Tim Bodine. All the articles were really good. There was a heck of a lot of meat on those written bones! Brian Hunter will demo his chop sawed bamboo at the Asheville Convention and Trade Show, Sept. 17-20, along with other techniques mentioned in my article on the Thurs. PM hands-on demo, as one result of that issue.

The only complaint I have- Eunice's article on making wallcoverings, gleaned mainly from what she learned on the Metro NY Tech Tour this spring- should have been on the front page, with pictures! I understand why my promotional article for the Convention did go there, but still, hers is very good, and again shows just what a great event that was. Steve Andrews, outgoing Associate's Chair, and RD/Tour Chair Cyndi Green (amongst others) did a great job, and a great service to the industry. Through their efforts, WA members have been incredibly helpful in getting us materials for the Thurs. demo. Think of it: over 120 paperhangers at the walls at once! And previous to that, after we assemble the walls, there will be 'informal' demos of light & heavy blankstock, muslin, synthetic liners, even "faster plaster!" Ever table-trim 54" vinyl? Come on down! Want to compare the premixed pastes on the market, side by side? You'll get your chance! Heard about Bob Kelly's pH Wheat and pH Cellulose, and wondered what the buzz is about? You'll see! Ever tried the mystical pH Wheat/Dynamite 111 mix? End the mystery, give it a try!
Think membership is expensive (and are you kidding me? Do you know how little it costs to join?)? I think it is far more expensive to not belong to the National Guild of Professional Paperhangers.

Chris- I am loving your pro-mos. Your doing a great job, this year, getting the members to the convention. I know I am looking forward to it. This paste comparison is really interesting to me because I am totally confused and wondering what the big difference is in all those bucket numbers. Looking forward to seeing and working on your display walls.
I also agree that the Installer was great, and I was amazed at the notes Eunice took at the Tech Tour. I was there and still learned from Eunice's piece recapping the tour.

Chris, great job on your article about the installer. Eunice, Cindy and yourself are going a great job and hopefully the articles will keep on coming throughout the year. Tim is doing a great job putting together all the news and getting it out to all of us as fast as he can.

I only hope that all of those non-memebrs understand that being a member is less expensive that not being one, one wrong cut or bad measurement on a project and it could cost a bundle!

Anyway good job and see you all at the convention.

Hang in there Buffy it's coming!

Talk to you all very soon,

Vinny

Vinny, that was no article, that was just a 'post.' I can run that stuff off the top of my head! That makes it much less time consuming than an article, which you know, because you've done them (well, and for many pages too).

Viny neglected to mention that a column will be provided for him to demo wrapping Maya Romanoff "Mother Of Pearl." This is like combining Master Paperhanging + David Copperfield! Can he do it???? The suspense builds in September......

I agree with all comments. Great job on the installer! To the Whole Gang! Especially Chris with your intriguing comments to get those that are not yet coming to the convention, to take the plunge.

Also, Tim, thanks for recognizing our new members. That is a great thing to do. e
