It's the same as mine, the only problems I've had was the chain on the drain plug broke, and sometimes the paste "skips" a little, so I just sort of slide the paper a little when booking. Just today, one of the rear hooks (that keep it from sliding forward when you pull sheets) broke, looks like the weld failed, but I can't complain after 7 years, I guess. Watch out on wide materials, the gears are internal and will chew your edges if you're not careful. You paid a lot less than I did!

I thought I posted this before work, but something must've happened. Weird....
Anyway, I'd also like a Tapo stand, but for $500 I can't imagine I'll want to spend that much. Someone on APN mentioned that the Black & Decker Workmate was the perfect machine stand if you have one. Well, I have one and it does work fantastic.
It got even better when I bought the tapo swivel stand and attached the machine to it. Mine is a pretty solid model Workmate, though, which makes this thing heavy and not always worth using on smaller jobs.
Guy, the Tapo counter is a thing of beauty. I'd save my pennies for one if I were you. I was very tempted to buy this machine. I asked Sig if they had any more and he told me they were about $700 now. You got a great deal brother!

Guy or Jeff, I have the Tapo stand to fit that machine. Its the blue hammered-metal look with a built in swivel. I never use it. Interested?
If so, I can take some pictures next time I'm in my shop.

The stand and swivel are one (I think).

I had no idea. Then I bought another one when I bought my Tapo 40. Truth is, Tapo equipment is expensive as dolars go, but it's all very well made and accurate. I owe you something for that one, Chris.:tiphat:

It is the exact same counter(made in Germany) that came with my 62" pastemaster back in 95 or 96, so I will try to knock the hinge pin out and add a new mount for the Tapo. I figure it will work for liner at least and a few other things maybe .I have used a machine(my 40" pastemaster) once in the past three years ,for a good size grasscloth job.As Jeff says ,kinda got away from it, hand pasting everthing ,maybe not the fastest way but the surefire cleanest.

Guy!! I don't believe it! A machine isn't always the way to go??!! Next thing you know, you'll be advocating table trimming and pastes other than 'clear'!

For the last four or five years I have had the luxury of a table/paste man although I am always yanking roller out of their hand to show them again how I want it pasted.I might even give this thing to Buddy.I can't stand it if a drop of paste gets on the face .Don't really want to touch any of it with a sponge if I can help it.What can't you believe?Hey,how does that Clay/wheat mix work on Designer Guild .Oh nevermind ,clear/wheat will work:D. I always table trim, unless an opportunity for Steve's pads

Man, all you GA guys are testy right now, aren't you? I was being facetious! I look for opportunities to use a machine, and I still don't get it out but maybe 4 times a year. I don't like washing either, except my clothes (gotta keep them whites, white!).
Just act like your from Alabama, and all will be well.

Hey,how does that Clay/wheat mix work on Designer Guild .
Magnifique! You bring your Antiques Roadshow-worthy table, trestles & straightedge, and I'll bring the paste. Got any of the paper- even off cuts- you can bring too? I about emptied my storage space, thank the Almighty and needy paperhangers.
We're already taliking about our 'next subjects' for demo: English/plain papers may be on the list, screen prints also. We ain't got it together, we bring it together!
Next ATL meeting: Oct. 7. Rub shoulders with the members of the MVC (Most Valuable Chapter). It is true we aren't the "best" chapter (I guess). Eli Manning wasn't the best quarterback; you know how that played out.
We meet the first Tues. of every month, usually at the Chamblee-Dunwoody Duron at 5:30 PM (remember that I-285 backs up early; use back roads or come early, or both- check out Starbucks or Goldbergs if early). Stock up on supplies, stay for the meeting, have (free!) dinner at Garcia's restaurant after; bring the papers you've hung lately for show-and-tell.
There's a reason ATL is MVC: come check it out! Be a part of the greatest working collaboration in the paperhanging nation!
