On Monday morning, Sept 14, 2009, a few early birds that logged onto this Bulletin Board, were surprised to see something totally unfamiliar. We won't get into the details of what was here. We would like to apologize and explain that some nefarious entity "hacked" our site and loaded their own web page.

We were able to reload this bulletin board from a back-up copy made early Saturday morning, Sept 12, 2009. This means that any posts or any registrations made on this Bulletin Board between Saturday Sept 12, 2009 and early Monday, Sept 14, 2009 have been lost.
We do sincerely apologize.

Hacked the day after the convention ends? Hmm, sounds like an inside job to me ;-)

Is it coincidence that I was logged in as an Bulletin Board administrator for the "NGPP Website Use" seminar on Saturday at 9:30 ? I think not. We were hacked sometime soon after.

I was hard wired with my lappy (the unsecured wifi did not work) AND one of the convention center techies had to assist me.

I think the convention center has a leak or even the hotel.

I suggest that everyone change their passwords that they used at the convention. It may be overly paranoid, but you can't be too careful.
