Hi there, from south MS. Can anyone make a comment on Speedypasters.com 's speedypaster 2000 pasting machine. It looks and sounds great!!! It has a forced "straight" feed which would alow for butting the ceiling grid : ) Has a "v" trough, and claims it can even paste with paste as thick as vov! Seems like it guaranteed for a life time. Can paste enough to keep 5 hangers busy and is in the $900 range. I did a search and couldn't find but about 6 hits on this machine in the whole world??? On this site, a Denise Scott had one for sale in 2004.... that was one of the hits for this machine. If Denise Scott is still aboard, please advise me on how well this machine performed. I guess the fact it was being sold wasn't a good sign? Absolutly no feedback out there for it? Thank you all for any reply.

Can I ask what is your intended use for a pasting machine? If you really need a machine to keep four or five hangers fed with wallcovering all day, then spend $4500 on a Tapofix motorized pasting machine. With five installers steadily putting up vinyl, the machine will pay for itself after your first twenty bolts.

Or spend $2000 on a Ramco. Or $2500 on an Advance.

Gravity-fed machines such as the Speedypaster and the Pastewell boast that they can handle straight pastes, and even VOV, but realistically, the need to hang with VOV and straight clay is rare. The practicality and ease-of-pulling of roller-driven machines far outweighs the wow-factor of being able to put straight clay in a machine. Having said that, I will tell you that I own a Pastewell, but my go-to machine is my Ramco PM62. The Pastewell only gets used once or twice a year, if that.
