I have an area about 6' by 5' over a tub to blank-stock and paper.
There is Existing venetian plaster.
What is the best way to prepare this area?
Clean with 50% ammonia to remove wax if any?
Prime with XIM to insure bond?
Prime with a wallcovering primer?

There was a post on venetian plaster prep but When I do a search on this site it was missing.
I cannot find some of my old posts on subjects. Like There was on felt, can't find it. An upgrade problem?

Yep Michael, I keenly remember the thread. I checked below in the archives and this came up:

A general search apparently doesn't sift through the archives??

Thanks Glenn
That was the thread I was looking for.
Ok I give, were on the NGPP.org /lounge web site does it show to look thru the archives? I have looked and do not see a tab or a pull down?

I copy the link you had for the thread and shorten it for the index page and there is no search option given? http://www.ngpp.org/lounge/archive/index.php
Looks like we may have lost the history of this site. I don't know about most people but I will remember a posting that will apply to so odd job condition and I will look it up years later.

It's on the extreme lower right of the page where it says: Contact Us National Guild of Professional Paperhangers Archive Top

I did a search in the archives...but then had to scan through the thread names to find. Hopefully, there is a search once in there also.

Yes, I agree...just a general search that also includes past posts and threads has always been great...
