I'm writing from near Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It's great to find this forum, and I know I'll learn so much from everyone here. My background is in screen printing and I'd like to expand into wallpaper printing.
If anyone can point me to a source for blank wallpaper that is suitable for screen printing it would be wonderful. I've spent many hours looking through paper manufacturer's sites, and I'm still looking for a supplier.
Thanks so much!

One qualified supplier I know is also knowledgeable and gracious with that knowledge: Ed Hovnanian at Cavalier:http://wallliner.com/
Another source of paper stock would be Monadknock: http://www.mpm.com/ They know specific substrates better than anyone (not that the NGPP ever took advantage of that, and it's a big loss they are no longer an Associate, IMHO). If you don't find help from them, I'll look up the business cards I have of contacts there.
Good luck! I looked into screen printing years ago, before computer-aided design came. The industry has small printers that do a bang-up job (Peter Fasano, Bradbury & Bradbury), but we could use more. A lot more.

Hi Chris,
Thanks so much for these leads - I was beginning to think I'd never find a source.
Bradbury and Bradbury papers are incredible - very inspirational to a newcomer like me.

If you get on Facebook, they are doing a charity project for a museum with the NGPP in LA: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Benicia-CA/Bradbury-Bradbury-Art-Wallpapers/178901681741?ref=mf

Yes, it sounds like a great project. Carol Greene reported that an LA member went on an estimate, saw that their funds were low, and suggested a Guild 'charity' hang. Since Bradbury is a screen printer, and often uses intricate use of multiple elements on a wall or ceiling, it's a great deal for the museum and for members that haven't handled their goods before. Kudos to the members that are organizing this, and to those that will teach the skills necessary to complete the project.

Tight budgets promote creativity, ingenuity and inventinveness. It sounds like you also added "fun" into the project as well as a learning experience. And, yes, Beverly was with us in San Diego and definitely a willing team player. Great job Carolyn and thanks to all of your team! e

More pictures of Charity hang. You can see the walls were of planks and as I said before they didn't want the original walls compromised so all we could do was blankstock over the planks and hang the beautiful Bradbury & Bradbury. But it really turned out nice and the people over seeing the museum were very pleased.
