In the NGPP policy book, it states:
"Members will be dropped for nonpayment 90 days after dues were due."
My dues were due 84 days ago, yet I have been dropped.
Why did I wait so long before making my final decision?
After all the irregularities of this past summer concerning ethics charges, ignoring charges of sexual discrimination, turning a blind eye to physical threats, and general disregard for the rules of the NGPP, I had a very difficult decision to make about continuing my financial support of the NGPP. I have been vacillating between resigning and renewing. I needed the full time to weigh the pros and cons and had imposed on myself a deadline of today to make my final decision. Looks like my decision was made for me.
Once again, I will stress that I support the general membership and the original goals of this organization.
And yet again I am baffled and dismayed at how the organization is run contrary to its own by-laws, codes, rules, and policies.
