I have been hanging paper for 25 years. my first two jobs were with clay based and i had problems. granted, i didn't know what i was doing but when i switched to heavy duty clear ,and thinned it, things went great. i have been using clear ever since. ( recently swithced to ultra clear880) never thought i needed to change. however, after reading several of your posts, i see some of you have a prefrence for clay with certain types of paper. now being open mined in my old age, what am i missing. perhaps on my next job i will give clay a try if you guys tell me which papers it works best on ,instead of the clear. I have even used clear ( not celuose) on my murals and it did great
