Hi, I will introduce myself first as I am new.My name is Rick, I have been in the painting/wallcovering trade for 20 years.I worked for a contractor for 15 yrs, have been on my own for 5yrs.While working for my employer I installed alot of wallcoverings, however, since I have been on my own most of my work has been painting.I am located in southern Wisconsin(GO BADGERS!).Anyways, my question regards a border I have removed. The border itself pulled off easy.I beleive it is vinyl. The adhesive it left on the painted sand finished plaster wall does not appear to be a ''conventional'' adhesive. It is clear and rubbery.Iwant to remove it and repaint. The only thing I tried to remove it with is hot water, which does not even give a hint of working on it.Is there/were there borders that came with a self adhesive other than ''pre pasted''?Or do you think this could be some type of adhesive applied to it?Any thoughts on what it might be and how to remove it would be appreciated. THANK YOU
