State search function

Ron, what happened to the search by state function. I used this many times. Sometimes, I have no clue to the persons zip code, but know the state and can find it from clicking there. Is there a reason why it is gone?

It is still there, but only in the Members Only Section at http://www.thepaperhangers.com/zipcode/search2.html.

I made this change after several people emailed me saying that the clickable map section gave an unfair advantage. With the old map structure, you got results based on where in the map you clicked. In the case of an installer rich area, such as Los Angeles, by clicking just 1/8" off the center of LA, you received many, many results for people outside of the area. By using just a zip code search for the regular search, this ensures the closest installers get their results listed. I hope you understand the theory behind the change.

Reckon I'll have to get off my butt and pull out the resource guide.
