    New Basswood table

I just purchased a new advance Basswood paste table. Should I seal the table before using. If so, what kind of sealer should be used. Thank you,

Just keep the thing clean, and try not to cut across the grain with blades. Basswood is self-healing, meaning that scores made in the direction of the grain will close back up. If you really seal it up, you'll lose that property, and you might as well have bought cheap pine boards.
