    Shel,
Presently there are three different Maya Romanoff "Mother of Pearl"products listed .The first being the original ,apprx. 24"WX12"H tiles in a variety of colors, the second an18x18 mosaic tile made up of small squares that look to be about 1"x1" ,comes in two colors and third the"Aphrodite" an 18x18 tile made up of fan shaped layers of shell ,choice of eight colors .All are real shell on a non woven backing.Depending on which you are hanging the install can vary slightly. Some are hung by the brick method, others may be stacked and some can be hung on the diagonal.I think "Maya" is specifying VOV but check on that. When measuring I make a scaled drawing of the area to be installed ,then draw each tile on every separate wall to get a total, keeping focal vertical and horizontal balance in mind.Make sure you allow a few extra.Use the drawing for an installation plan.
When cutting I cut from the backside being careful at the edge when pulling the knife off of the tile so not to pull shell loose.I use the heavy duty Olfa knife. It's very similar to installing tile .Oh well can't figure out how to turn the pic

    Guy,

Rotate the photo before posting it. I use the free IrfanView graphics viewer for simple editing (you can't do any really deep editing with it). It's easy to rotate your picture by going to the dropdown Image menu.
