Atlanta “High-End” Workshop

The Atlanta Chapter and the Southeast Region of the NGPP will be having a Workshop focusing on “High-End,” designer-driven materials and techniques. Take advantage of this great opportunity to have “hands-on” access to these materials with the assistance of seasoned pros.
There will be several workable areas as well as several hanging areas so that all attendees will have a chance to get up close and personal with the most expensive and unusual wallcovering that are available. Eventually, every professional paperhanger is going to be asked to install an exotic wallcovering. Because there are not everyday events, the lack of knowledge and experience with these products can present a high-risk situation. Do you attempt the install and risk losing a lot of money and damaging your reputation? This workshop is designed to remove that potential from your business. Once again, as an NGPP member you will have the opportunity to enhance your knowledge, skills and status giving you "the edge" over your competition.
Topics include: Commercial 54” fabric; silk-screen prints; weaves, grasses and bamboo; English papers; and exotics (Maya Romanoff and Silk Dynasty). All of these materials will be on hand for attendees to practice the techniques taught by the presenters: Bring your hand tools!
In addition, Cyndi Greene, C.P. will relate her strategies for commercial work, showing how she competes ‘in a man’s world,’ and how small people can hang 54” materials.

This event will be held at the Holiday Inn-Select (Atlanta- Perimeter/Dunwoody), in a 5,000 square foot meeting room. Lunch will be provided. Cost for attendees: $75. There is a special room rate of $79 per night plus applicable taxes for those who wish to stay at the hotel. Contact the hotel at 770-457-6363 to reserve your room and mention the NGPP to receive the group rate. This location has good access to the regional rail line (MARTA) and the Atlanta airport. For those flying in, the chapter will have volunteers to make pick-ups at the nearby Marta station.

Tradeshow
We have people from all over the country coming as well as support and participation from the Southeastern Region and its Chapters. We are doing a strong PR campaign and expect nearly a hundred installers to attend.
Of course, no event is complete without a great trade show and since we are drawing paperhangers who are interested in hanging the best, they will also want to see the best support products too.
Only a limited number of Trade Show Booths are available at $195 each with vendor attendance included in the booth fee. This also includes a business card ad in the Program Guide. Setup is available Friday evening. If you would like to sponsor lunch or a coffee break please contact the chapter's Treasurer, John Little at 770-924-0654.
