2010 NGPP International Edmonton Event

Friday October 1st is an intensive full day hands-on training session in handling high-end specialty and exotic papers such as foils, flocks, glass beaded and natural textile wallcoverings. Tools and techniques for wet and dry trimming selvage, using blank stock liner, estimating and layout will all be demonstrated and practiced. Class size for this event is limited, so invest in yourself and register early. The instructor for this course will be KL Connor, currently the Atlanta Chapter president and a skilled fourth-generation installer. Pasting tables and straightedges will be supplied; bring your own hand tools.

Exciting Additional Program for Edmonton, October 1: There has been an additional program added to the Edmonton Extravaganza- a session for Interior Designers on Friday afternoon called ‘Specify With Confidence!’  If you are a designer but need a more information on wallcovering in general, this is the class for you.

Saturday October 2nd Join fellow professionals at the ‘Meet the Guild’ Tradeshow and Workshop. There will be a series of presentations and demonstrations covering all aspects of the trade: efficient wallpaper removal, the how’s and whys of priming and adhesive selection, commercial wallcovering tools tips and tricks, conquering prepasteds and what to know when dealing with high end wallcovering. At the tradeshow you will meet suppliers and have the chance to see all the latest tools and sundries available for the wallcovering industry including pasting machines, lasers, tables, hand tools, adhesives and primers. There will be discounts, show specials and giveaways. Wallcovering manufacturers will be there with their products ready to answer questions and show you what’s new so you’ll be prepared to install it confidently. By attending this event you will meet fellow installers and network among your peers, making contacts with designers, contractors and other industry professionals.
